WWII in New Ulm

Pacific hut (Quonset) in New Ulm, not so Pacific

 POW camp

Built as a CCC camp, then used as a German POW camp for a year and a half for enlisted men, who worked in factories and farms around the County

The National Guard unit was sent to Kodiak ironically. So many relatives of people I meet were stationed in Kodiak.
