Need to rub this more apparently. (if you rub Hermann's "footprint" you have more fun. Because Germans have more fun.... It's been challenging.

Polka in Sleepy Eye. Um, yes of course we tried to polka.
Sleepy Eye was the location of the largest land-powered (coal) mill in the country. Now, a few corporations are still there, including Del Monte. It is interesting seeing the parallels between what has happened to farming and how corps are trying to do the same with Alaskan fishing ( aka take over). Rather than small, independent family farms, which still exist, but on a lower scale, are larger mega corporate farms/processors. Same in fishing. Used to be each boat was it's own, now canneries own everything from the boats to the tenders in some cases.
